Speaking Lab
Five full Speaking tests with a recorded examiner. Each runs all three parts in order —
the interview, the one-minute preparation and long turn, and the discussion — and records your answers
in the browser. Your recordings are transcribed and marked by AI on the four official criteria.
Five practice tests
Every test is a complete 11–14 minute paper. Part 2 is a single take, as on test day.
What you get back
A band for each of the four criteria — Fluency and Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range
and Accuracy, and Pronunciation — each with the examiner's reasoning, plus an overall band. The four
criteria carry equal weight, as in the real test. Pronunciation is estimated from the transcript, so
it is the least precise of the four; a dispute sends it for human review.
Before you start
You need a working microphone and about fifteen uninterrupted minutes. The mic check on the welcome
screen is compulsory — do it in the room you will actually record in. Part 1 and Part 3 answers can be
re-recorded once each; the Part 2 long turn is a single take, and answers under 60 seconds are capped
at Band 5.0 for Fluency, exactly as the real test penalises a short long turn.
